Founded in 1949; by pioneers of industrial Gujarat Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai and Sheth Shri Amrutlal Hargovandas, the Chamber has an illustrious list of leaders of trade and industry passing the torch of enlightened leadership to the next in a smooth seamless passage.

During the over 75 years journey GCCI has done commendable work for the Trade and Industry and has been
instrumental in several policy initiatives of the government. GCCI is the apex body of trade and industry in the state of
Gujarat with 7500 + direct members including 200+ business associations and regional chambers spread across the state, thereby representing the interests of over 2.5 lakh business enterprises.
